Design of a Dental Center in a Small Space: Case Study

Welcome back to our blog! On this occasion, we are pleased to share with you a personal design project for a small dental center. I present this case study that involves a combination of architectural design in limited areas, aesthetics and electrical installations, in addition to the strategic arrangement of furniture and equipment.

1. Introduction to the Project

We currently have a space of 31.5 m2 and 2.5 meters high, where efficiency and functionality are key. This design challenge led us to develop creative and effective solutions to make the most of every square centimeter, while ensuring a comfortable and functional environment for staff, patients and dental teams.

2. Architectural Plans in 2D and 3D

Thanks to the help of Architect Darwin Pérez of CP Design Studios, these architectural plans were achieved in both 2D and 3D that show the distribution of the space, the location of the work areas, the arrangement of the furniture and much more. These plans are the result of a meticulous design process that seeks to optimize the ergonomics and efficiency of the dental center.

3. Electrical Installations

In this case I have paid special attention to this aspect of the project. Detailed electrical plans show the arrangement of light points, power outlets and other electrical elements necessary to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the dental center.

4. Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC)

Thermal comfort is essential for both staff and patients. Therefore, we have included independent Split equipment in our design of air conditioning systems that provide a pleasant environment throughout the year, ensuring optimal temperature and humidity conditions inside the dental center.

5. Location of Furniture and Equipment

Dental furniture and equipment have been strategically arranged to optimize workflow and maximize available space. Our focus on ergonomics and efficiency is reflected in the careful arrangement of each element within the dental center.

I intended to show photos of the area to intervene but I couldn't find them, I assure you that if I have the opportunity I will share them. 😓

I also add that this design was made to create a space for my wife who practices in the area of dentistry. 😁😁😁

In summary, this project represents a compelling example of how creativity and technical knowledge can be combined to overcome design challenges in space-constrained environments. We hope this blog inspires and educates our readers, and we look forward to sharing more exciting projects in the future.
